A Complete History of 14,000 Years of Civilization.
Big companies want cheap, compliant labor, and bribe government to get it.
Pretty much everything follows from that.
The End.
In every sense.

Re: Migrants
Scenes on Catalan TV this morning of the beach off Barcelona and Badelona. Wall-to-wall tents, illegal immigrants. Unbelievable.

Re: Migrants
From Africa, I imagine up to the border with France. Every country wants them them to move on asap. If they thought they could get away with bussing them to the next border, they would.

RCI: Link Between Immigration and Crime
Europe shows a clear connection, which the U.S. seriously downplays at its peril.

By John R. Lott Jr. & James Varney, RealClearInvestigations
Violent crime is becoming common in Sweden, shocking residents of the famously placid Scandinavian nation, where horrific acts of violence have become “all too familiar,” according to Common Sense Media, part of a Swedish nonprofit organization.
Since 2018, Swedish authorities have recorded an estimated 500 bombings, while what they describe as gang shootings have become increasingly common. The country reported a record 124 homicides in 2020 and many residents were shocked in April when violent riots injured more than 100 police officers.
But Sweden’s crime spike is not an anomaly in Europe, as homicides have risen during the last decade across the European Union, from Hungary and Germany to Denmark and Finland. An analysis of EU and United Nations crime data by RealClearInvestigations shows that, as in Sweden, the broader crime wave is strongly correlated with immigration. "
How surprising, and no one saw it coming??

Immigration to New Zealand got going in earnest about 200 years ago and has only got worse!

Those of us who did see it coming were - and still are - labelled racists.

prospector,
if you are a politician (no matter your stance on immigration) or a person involved with an NGO making an excellent living thanks to immigration living in a splendid real estate, it is easy to ignore dismiss the issues pressing the lesser mortals.

Re: Migrants
Surprised nobody mentioned the murder of a 14 year old school girl and wounding of another by a knife-wielding Eritrean asylum--seeker near Ulm in southern Germany last weekend. Needless to say it's not deemed a "racist' attack but the asylum seeker has "psychological problems" so that's (not) all right then.
Re: Migrants
It seems you think this attack was due to the perpetrator being Eritrean and nothing to do with any psychological problems.

Re: Migrants
John Hill, You will no doubt have noted that the article only states that the crime wave has only occurred after immigration. Nowhere does it state what the ethnicity of the immigrants causing the crimewave. We all know that an awful lot of them have PSYCHOLGICAL problems, It would be better for many if those problems had of stade in their country of origin.

This will help Braverman - from the Telegraph
"Albanian Channel migrants plead to go back home claiming to be ‘victims of TikTok’. Country’s ambassador says adverts on the social media platform deceived people into believing they would have a better life in the UK!"

Good to see that Metropolitan Plod adopted a low-key approach, presumably for fear of starting a race riot, or even being overwhelmed by the gangs...
Re: Migrants
It causes a slight snigger to rise in my breast when I see Poms complaining of immigrants in 'their' country when I know that Russia is about the only part of the modern world that has not suffered at some time or another at the hands of marauding Poms. (I am not really sure about Russia.)

Re: Migrants
The Crimean war had the UK and Russia on opposite sides, does that count?John Hill wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 9:38 pmIt causes a slight snigger to rise in my breast when I see Poms complaining of immigrants in 'their' country when I know that Russia is about the only part of the modern world that has not suffered at some time or another at the hands of marauding Poms. Re: Migrants
And of course the British sent troops to the Russian civil war.
Re: Migrants
OK, so count Russia among the rest. But there must be somewhere that has never been on the receiving end of British rampaging?

Re: Migrants
I wouldn't bet on it. Even if it wasn't official, you'll probably some senior Brit involved in a major way somehow.
Here's a right character:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Co ... _Dundonald
Helped liberate half of South America.
His biography is a cracking read!
Part of his story is included in Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe's Devil, which is also excellent.

Re: Migrants
Is this a valid point, bearing in mind the migrants are leaving the wonderful EUssr to travel to broke, rubbish-strewn and dysfunctional Britain from the European lands of milk and honey?

I see a Twatterstorm and censure by Ofcom over these remarks.
What does the team think?

Re: Migrants
The UK Government is to blame for doing nothing about the entire migrant problem, from joke borders through handouts to illegal labour and criminal gangs, for 20 years. And, saying they were doing something.
