Yep, it's plastic. Only because we were on a ferry flight and couldn't be bothered to do the washing up.

Fair enough but no cabin crew on a ferry flight? A bit rough.

Who do you think is in the cockpit?no cabin crew on a ferry flight?
Re: Views of flying around Europe, north Africa and the Middle East etc
Our cabin crew was required for another flight. We were landing at 10pm and we knew the FBO would be shut so no services etc. We don't have a galley sink fitted unfortunately so it was just as easy to use the plastic stuff supplied in the catering

Spent most of the time in the ME this tour. Hot. Very hot.
Re: Views of flying around Europe, north Africa and the Middle East etc
It was a different experience this time compared to 10 years ago. Things are moving forward. Obviously someway to go but, progress is being made.

Big city. Happily not all flights were at night.

I was intrigued by this carousel in a cooling tower in the German town of Kalkar near the Dutch border, so I dropped down, orbited and got this photograph!

Was also delighted with this tower in the Winterberg in Germany...Wunderland Kalkar is an amusement park in Kalkar, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is built on the former site of SNR-300,[1] a nuclear power plant that never went online because of construction problems and protests. The park was constructed by Dutch entrepreneur Hennie van der Most, who purchased the site for a rumored price of US$3 million. Wunderland Kalkar receives around 600,000 visitors each year.
Many of the facilities constructed for the plant have been integrated into the park and its attractions, including the cooling tower, which features a swing ride and a climbing wall. The park also features four restaurants, eight bars, and six hotels.

Still used in Africa you know.
I guess you hot hover jet folk used TACAN's and Mark 1 Eyeball (like the South American Toucans) back in the day. You too can home in on a commercial radio transmitter in Europe, listening to Steely Dan's FM, no static at all, smooth sounds all the way home.
