One of the most pleasant National Trust destinations is Barrington Court in Somerset, as well as being interesting and set in a lovely Somerset setting, it is unusual in that the NT permit photography in the house. I had a visit today, ( many previous visits over the years) and took advantage of this.

The first NT house, this was restored by Col Lyle of Tate and Lyle, much of the original tudor building has been renovated, however the interior has been restored using timbers and panelling from around the world during the early part of the 20th century. The result is very interesting and recommend a visit if in the area.
