I figured I would call on the collective knowledge of the group to ask for any hints, advice, must sees, & general info on Thailand.
I am leading a group of 9 couples plus myself on two sail boats out of Phuket for 10 days. I leave Thursday. I have a Lagoon 52 and a Bali 4.5.
Rough route is either clockwise or counter clockwise:
.
Any and all advice, greatly appreciated.

Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance.

My information may be out-of-date, G-Man, but I understood that the Thai authorities had stopped people from visiting the Phi Phi islands, because of over-tourism. (The islands were made famous by their location for the film 'The Beach'). They are certainly worth visiting, but it might be worth checking if they are still 'visitable.'
Happy to be proved wrong if the Thai authorities have decided to re-open them...

I too thought the Phi Phi islands may be off limits for the time being, but indeed my absolute favourite part of a Phuket trip a few years ago!
We got to 'the beach' site well before other boats. Had it almost to ourselves, then moved on after the other tourist boats came. There were several places in the Phi Phi islands that were magical though!
We enjoyed Phuket, but not enough to ever return, and it isn't even too far from here (East Coats Australia). We've said that if we ever did go back it would be only to revisit Phi Phi.
Also, awful lot of arrogant Russians there!

Phuket good place to see a lot of disgustingly behaved Australians too!

Thanx all….I am at SFO on my way right now. I heard the Phi Phi islands are doable but lots of people as described….will let you know, and standby for pics.
