G~Man. it was the same thing that made we want to be pilot.
I learned to sail on a dam in the old Transvaal (some 450 miles from the sea)...

Seems like it was a previous life when we crossed the blue Pacific on a 32" sloop (upwind) . Those were the days.
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.

Found it a bit worrisome watching that first prep video. Going up the mast on one halyard, with a perfectly good second halyard right next to it not being used as a safety rope.

Nice---I have a Beneteau 343, a Hunter 26.5 and a McGregor hybrid....
They say that time spent on the water or in the air is not deducted from one's lifespan...

Interesting that very often they're running on three legs, not four. I guess that's based on wind pressure holding up one corner of the boat so the foil isn't needed and gets hauled out to reduce the drag.
