I'm puzzled - I cannot see any reply to your post between 0913 and 0915? I'll lift the bonnet and check the tappets.ex-A wrote:No, Wodders posted after I noticed the duplication so the system wouldn't let me delete. I think that you can edit after this scenario but not delete.

Back from fruitless hubcap search although walk was nice, except: its 13° and blowing a Tramontana. 13° sounds mild but with bone dry (20%) wind behind it it cuts like a knife.

Some sad news that I missed last year. My better half and I went flying (separately) with this chap in his glider at Plettenberg Bay some years back. He actually did some aerobatics with my sylph like better half including multiple loops and rolls. When I asked if could do the same he, took one look at me and said, no, and muttered "C of G". When he saw the tears and hurt in my eyes he said, I will let you do the approach, and if it's good I will let you land it. Which he did and I got to land it!
Sadly his sage approach seemed to slip and the slip killed him...

I wonder if he allowed the other bloke to make the approach and he stalled it, with no hope of recovery with the CofG issue and low altitude.
His perception of the size of South African males might have become skewed over the years, as I was nowhere near the weight that his passenger in this case was, when he nixed the idea of aero's with me back in 2013.

Very low 'mains' water pressure in the house today. The unfiltered water pressure at the outside garden tap from our private water supply up the hill is fine so it looks like blocked sediment filters in the house ahead of the UV tube. It's my least favourite task as inevitably water goes everywhere - both sediment filters are in the hall cupboard. They don't look good visually and are several months ahead of when I usually change them. Goggles, snorkel and flippers on......

My (now deceased) Catalan doctor said his dad claimed that winter here ends around June 1st and the next one starts around June 30th. Old men wear cardigans over their white shirts up to the first of those dates, cautiously remove them if the sun is out, and replace them at the beginning of July.
PS Snow forecast tomorrow down to 500 metres.

Well washing day has rolled around again and rain has also kept to the weather oracle predictions with 80mil falling overnight,a flood watch has been
issued for a minor flood level, this can change quickly if the Warragamba Dam spills.Seems I wrote pretty much the same post same time last year when
we had a major flood and the dam was spilling at a rate of a Sydney Harbour /day.The rain is part of a slow moving East coast low that impacted
Southern Queensland and caused catastrophic flooding with people having to be rescued by helicopter from their rooftops and 8 people confirmed
deceased.
Gettin the washing dry is the least of our worries as the day will be spent checking the river levels which are steadily rising.

Morning folks. Hope all goes OK Bob. Got to go into town for the 5th attempt at our armed robbery court case. Police meeting today, court tomorrow. Really had enough of this. Stay in our suite at The Maun Lodge this evening which is a change of scene for us.
Nature report, two hippos out front, 19 bats in the roof of the veranda and one elephant shrew rescued from the pool which bit me. Ungrateful little sod.

Looks like we won't escape flooding as of an hour go the dam started to spill over, rainfall since 9am recorded at 84mil,and river has risen 4 metres in
the last 6 hours and it's still bucketing down.Providing they don't open more of the spill gates on the dam we may ok.Watching the weather radar
and the low looks as though it will impact us for a while longer as it is verv slow moving. As the say you can't fight nature, you just have to learn how
to live with it.

Good Morning all,
crystal, 15c guess 18c may be exceeded.
SM has received a threat of pension cessation due not responding to the are you still alive questionnaire which was not received.
When will they understand that Correos is not the Royal Mail.
We still wait for a Christmas card and a month old birthday card. Both known to be sent.
Anyway she is off to get her documents notarised this morning, a new experience for her.
PC has a problem with the wireless card I think, new one should arrive today.
