SpaceX boss Elon Musk has confirmed that the latest attempt to launch and land its Mars-bound Starship spacecraft will go ahead on Wednesday.
Starship SN10 is already on the launchpad at SpaceX’s Boca Chica facility in Texas, and has an eight hour window to achieve what it predecessors could not.
If successful, SN10 will become the first Starship prototype to achieve a landing after flying to a high altitude, with similar tests of SN8 and SN8 ending in fiery explosions.
The launch window runs from 9am local time (3pm GMT) until 6pm (12am GMT, Thursday)

Re: SpaceX
Elon Musk had this to say on the abort...
Launch abort on slightly conservative high thrust limit. Increasing thrust limit & recycling propellant for another flight attempt today.

Re: SpaceX
I'm not certain that I can stand the excitement of a re-run - especially if it ends with an abort after several hours.

I'm still here! What amazing footage from the SpaceX site. Not quite in the centre of the pad but what an achievement.

It blew up minutes after landing damn it!
It blew up minutes after landing damn it!
Unlike the last two Starship prototypes to fly this high, however, the roughly 6 minute flight did not end in a fireball [UPDATE: Well, not immediately. The rocket did blow up while stationary on the landing pad a few minutes after landing, potentially due to a leak]. Instead, it completed its landing flip maneuver as intended and slowed itself for a soft touchdown, with the rocket remaining vertical and intact afterwards
