Rankings
You may have noticed I am adding stars and ranks based on the number of postings thus:
one silver star - first solo - 2 postings
two silver stars - PPL - 10 postings
three silver stars - CPL - 25 postings
one gold star - SCPL - 30 postings
two gold stars - FO - 50 40 postings
etc.
Please advise what comes above.

Re: Rankings
That shows you how old I is. In my day a senior commercial pilots licence was a requirement to fly RPT's - regular public transport flights. My lowly CPL just meant I could fly charters. But I get to be PiC this place. Yee Haw!

Re: Rankings
Alison, the Rev is correct. ATPL after CPL.
Great idea for your rankings.
Suggest after ATPL, F/O, Senior F/O, Capt, Training Capt, Fleet Capt, Chief Pilot, Ops Director, CEO, Astronaut under training, Astronaut, God, then ME.
Sorry Rev.
Obviously you could skip some ranks - apart from ME!

Re: Rankings
At least the missions count in the all new Jet Blast.
Re: Rankings
Yep at least you don't keep getting cycled to zero in perpetuity - like somewhere else! I'm happy being a puke all I need is the air that breathe and a working login In all seriousness I think you will most likely need to revise the rating upward again at some future date Alison - I think your site is going to be way popular.
Re: Rankings
Aaawww - not another upshift!!! This is a Cathcart situation!!!!
Oh look, my gold star is back already

Tom do you not know the immense pleasure I derive from being able to demote everyone at the press of a key. This is real power.
Re: Rankings
Wot happens after 500?
Just asking.
Time for immense pleasure?

People get banned for a day and their totals are reset to zero. Like the other place. Anyway I ran out of stars and places to put them.
Re: Rankings
something smaller and more sophisticated, after the shock?
Re: Rankings
The problem with any such system is the effect of time...
A year from now this airline will be awash with chief pilots. Or not
One could always make a bid to buy a title (sounds familiar).

I notice that I am now a Corporal, well it's been a long time since I was one of those!

Alison I can hear the maniacal laugh from here Hey just remember with great power comes great responsibility sic spiderman or something!
Actually ranking/rating and getting constantly recycled to probation was my eventual downfall on the other site. Every Time I posted myself out of my permanent moderation zone I would get recycled back to zero. On the final occasion I went vertical - 6 posts in as many seconds. The following day my login would just time out.
So I'm going to tread easy here now Alison, just move away from the big red button marked demoted

CPL isn't corporal. Everyone knows it stands for Commical Pproone Licence.
There is an expectation that you will amuse us all.

Re: Rankings
Bit of a shame there's no smiting of offenders with the ban stick. Could be fun seeing how far mods can be pushed before throwing a hubcap.
