The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Admin, I know that you closed down the Markle bashing thread but we think under current circumstances the situation should be able to be debated here by our esteemed and educated members.
We are so furious I refuse to comment at the moment.
However please look at: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/arti ... tlers.html

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Agreed. However, I blame it all on the trailer trash rather than on the Prince. He's c***struck although I fail to understand why.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Happy to let it run as long as it doesn't turn into royalty-bashing thread, on account I like them.
Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Agreed on the topic, although I would definitely prefer NOT to see Mr Morgan involved...............
Dreadfully hurtful for the Royal Family, and if this is the wish of Harry and Meghan for 'financial independence, my views are:
Revoke the titles
Sell their house and return the money to the public purse
Cease payments from the Duchy or any other 'Royal' source to them both
Wish them well
Give then 2 one-way tickets (First class) to North America.
There's 'financial independence'!
His work for the disabled vets is admirable and I hope he continues it, although they will both discover the harsh realities of their true 'value' in supporting issues without the Royal cachet.
There - I feel better now.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
I think that this is for the better, the impending divorce will be less messy if they are no longer practising Royals, and the saving on expenditure is good news. I admire the Queen, but apart from the one that I can never remember who used to fly a helicopter the rest seem to be a waste of money.
I can't really express an opinion because I am completely indifferent to what they do.

Without going into detail, published media seems to fall into two camps: roses and chocolates or scurrilous rumours. By pulling up the draw bridge so to speak they will no doubt encourage the latter. How much of the latter will be true and how much fake news who can say.
I think we might agree though that she misunderstood the Royal Family and their commitment to maintaining the Monarchy for the nation and not their individual benefit.
Of course MM is not the only example of not playing the game. The other princes and princesses are all doing their bit.

Talk about 'biting the hand that feeds you'.
Also, isn't it about time we all stopped pretending Charles is his dad?

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
This is certainly not going to turn into a Royal Family bashing thread with my input. I have enormous respect for all of them except that piece of trailer trash that Harry married, in fact I find it impossible to think of her as Royalty, unlike William's lady wife who is regal through and through.
The Markle woman has caused so much division and strife in the RF that she should be sent to the Tower!
If ever there was proof that Princess Diana was not assassinated, this is it, because I am sure they would have been only too happy to see MM disappear.
Also, isn't it about time we all stopped pretending Charles is his dad? +1
I think Prince Charles might be very proud to be his Dad, I would be proud of a son like that, apart from his choice of spouse, but I find it hard to accept that he is.

If I say that you can't teach what it takes to be classy should it be consider as Royal Family bashing?

Convenient that they had their house renovated with millions of taxpayers money before they made this decision.

Respect for the Queen ? Yes, very much so. The rest of the freeloading crew of scroungers - no. Not that I know who any are except the woman who supports Scotland at rugby despite being English, and the one who doesn't sweat while laying pipe into teenagers, and the pop-eyed sisters.

Madame Tussauds has acted to reflect their departure. No longer are Harry and Meghan part of Tussauds Royal Family group. The world-famous attraction relocated the figures almost immediately to reflect the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to stand alone from the rest of the family.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Admin, you know my views and agree totally.
Phil Dampier, the veteran royal reporter and author, said: "The Queen will be absolutely devastated by this. This is the last thing she needs. She is very fond of Harry but however you want to dress it up, this is them stepping away from royal duties and ducking out. This will bring back echoes of 1936 when another American divorcee wreaked havoc in the Royal Family. This must bring back terrible memories for Her Majesty."
'Yes, Madam, I am drunk, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly.' Sir Winston Churchill.
Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Perhaps they should bring back the Royle Family?
I would imagine they would have a whale of a time with MM.
