If America was sanely run by people who actually cared about the stability of the country we would never have started the slippery slope into this situation in the first place. Tax overseas corporate income and products made overseas for sale in America and use the money for self-sufficient energy research such as fusion reactors.

Allons les deplorables
Le jour de gloire est arrivé !
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L'étendard sanglant est levé
Entendez-vous dans nos campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras.
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes!

(bis)
Aux armes citoyens
Formez vos bataillons
Marchons, marchons
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons

Ah it is wonderful to see how the past glory that was France's has been seized as a cloak and a clarion cry to the barricades at La Défense by the Trumpistas and those with a sense of poetry or humour at least.

Time was when France and all her works were judged to be nothing more than the detritus produced by a group of "cheese eating surrender monkeys". =))

They are cheese eating surrender monkeys but that does not mean they can't write good lyrics. ;) ;)

I think I reached you, Lone Ranger. Not on this thread, but somewhere. Thanks for the compliment. That's two I've snagged in the last week, you and Dirk.

Your posts define you, dontcha know?

My advice is to reach for a higher level and argue with more ammunition than insult and profanity, unless that's all you've got.

Ben:

They have nothing more than they show, publicly.

Shame really, I'm sure they are super nice in real life..

Or maybe not...

I think the 'deplorables' speech could turn out to be Hillary's undoing. From what I see, the Left in this election is starting to perceive that it has failed miserably after 8 years in power - in EVERY SINGLE ASPECT.

The argument against Trump is only insults, with little of substance discussed. The Democrats say Trump is all bluster, has no plan, and has all the deplorable characteristics. But the core Trump ideas, Border Security, Budget Discipline, American interests first, Islamism as the enemy, et al. are things many if not most Americans care about and are even emotional about.

Count me as one who believes what we've done since 2006 is not working. The ship is going to sink if we don't turn it around. Hillary's not going to do it. The Republicans we elected in 2012 and 2014 have failed to do it. Trump is a grasp at real change, maybe even the last chance.
