A few months ago ?

How about the last 50 years and probably before that.

They are a major threat to world peace, if they don't like your brand of peace,
then they work against you.

I have it on the best authority that Trump is an undercover agent for the American Peace Corps.

All Russia is doing at the moment, in Syria and some others is exactly what the US has been doing for the last 50 years.

Just the US doesn't like it as it is not being done by proxies any more and so Russia and the US are butting heads directly.

And on top of that, Russia has been making sure that the world and the worlds media see the military exercising the weapons, aircraft and ships that they have, from Cruise missiles from aircraft, ships and subs to ultra long range bombing missions.

All we have to go by, so far, are Trump's announced appointments to key positions in the cabinet and agencies. I'm really liking his choices, with a few exceptions, but who's perfect?

As for Russia's influence - get real! The Trump administration, mark my words, is going to steamroll Russia's geopolitical ambitions into the dirt. Russia is oil-dependent, culturally and demographically bankrupt, corrupt, and flailing. Putin's charisma is potent for now, but reality ultimately bites.

And the world has also taken note of that pathetic thing they have called an aircraft carrier, from which several aircraft have already crashed..... and burned.

Yes, a bit old and stuff but "working up and having accidents" is not the preserve of Russia only when it comes to Naval aviation.

Cat failure and human error even on a run up US Carrier still occurs, as recently as this year, E-2C Hawkeye, USS Eisenhower.

Roger that but the Russians seem to have such incidents down to a science. I think much of their equipment is way over-rated.

Which bits in particular ?

Cruise missiles, FJ's and long range bombers seem to be OK, although I reckon they would have pulled out all stops
in regards to making sure the long range bombers had trouble free flights.

Ships like the aircraft carrier seem a bit old.

What's the name of their new armored vehicle - a tank - which broke down during its inaugural parade? And which was also readily destroyed by Syrian "rebels" - CIA-backed radical Islamists?
