All satire aside, it is true that Merkel enjoys at her worst moments the sort of popularity that most politicians at their best times can only pray for. I would not bet in favour of her not being reelected this year by hoards of devoted (and stupid) German citizens.

If Merkel is popular it is because the Germans are following orders. I don't think we want a repeat of the last time that happened. It's odd though, because Adolf was as charismatic as she is bland. I fail to see how anyone could be led or influenced by her.

Merkel is the perfect replacement... She doesn't invade other countries... She invades her own by overwhelming it with foreigners..
