Just visiting to pass on some sad news. It appears that Henry is no longer with us, at least that is what is suggested on the meteor thread in TOP. I liked what he wrote. He will be missed.

Maybe a different Henry Crun? Same guy made a similar comment in September 2013.

No longer with us as in passed on to the other side or just no longer with us here on ops-normal?

I guess I answered my own question. I jumped over to TOP, anonymously without logging in, and found an entry written by Henry's son in which he states that "my Dad Henry Crun is no longer of this mortal coil."

If this is the case, that is saddening news. I know a lot of people here didn't get along with Henry, for whatever reasons, but I certainly did. RIP Henry.

Think the departed from the Earth "Henry" is Peter Hills who died in 2012, not our ex member who posted as "Henry Crun"

Nope, his son specifically stated "Henry Crun".

That's odd because I've exchanged numerous PM's with Henry over the years and he always addressed me as Richard - my real name - and signed with Henry.

I only thought it was Mike because thats the name on the website with all the projects he shows that he links to! I think the original Henry crun on TOP is the dead one refered too (died and stopped posting 2012) . Just checked and our henry had an underscore which cant usually be seen as all usernames are underlined. = confusion. henry_crun

Yes, the plot thickens. But "Henry Crun's" son posted about his demise only a couple of days ago. I wouldn't think he'd be referring to yet another Henry Crun who passed on in 2012. On the Internet no one knows you're a cat! :D

There was a henry Crun who died. Henry Crun on here was originally Mike-wsm on TOP before he was banned on there. He then became henry_crun on TOP when the original died.

Thanks for the clarification, limeygal. But I'm still stumped. (Aside from feelings of morbidity: someone takes the "handle" of someone else who died?) If our henry crun is indeed Mike-wsm then why did henry crun's son post about his demise only a couple of days ago on TOP????

Don't know. I have an idea in the back of my mind that he mentioned once that he had never married or had kids. I might be mistaken about that. Couldn't find the post. Does anyone have a link?

rgbrock1 - I think it was just in the context of the thread - He didn't say he had just died, he just said that his dad had died and this was one of his logbooks musings on mp3 about the Meteor accident the thread was about.

MSD2-I think you are right. Our Henry wasn't an aviator. I think he was something to do with development or some such
