A seven-ship for 2023. Here's hoping 7 make it through winter training 'unscathed', although I do not see any sign of a Springhawk deployment which should help allay any 'toxicity'.
Re: Oh dear - red faces as well?
Scrub that! An eight-ship.

A damning report and one which angers me. This was not the team I knew.

Re: Oh dear - red faces as well?
I encountered them several times in Cyprus during pre-season practice whilst on gunnery camps. I also saw them a fair few times on the air show circuit as I was in the habit of flying the air display spare / static F3 to air shows.
This was 88-93. They were no better or worse than any other aircrew at the time, socially-speaking. Certainly no sense of entitlement.

bob - are you clicking on the right post? When you say 'still 404 error' does that mean you are getting it frequently or do you mean 'like PHX'?

Re: Oh dear - red faces as well?
If I may add my two penneth to this thread. The daughter of a late friend of mine was a member of the ground engineering team supporting the Red Arrows for a while. It was one of her ambitions to get on the team, but rapidly changed her mind when she achieved it. She found the culture deeply unpleasant and very anti female, she requested, and got, a transfer fairly quickly. She is not a 'weak and feeble female' but well able to hold her own (in all respects) with anyone.
This occurred probably some 8-10 years ago.She is still in the service as a senior NCO and must have completed over 20 years of service to date.

Sky New are broadcasting an ''insight' into the whole affair on 27 Dec at 2100. It will, I think, be uncomfortable viewing. The RAF has published the two reports on the team which can be linked from here https://www.raf.mod.uk/news/articles/st ... batic-team
Naturally very heavily redacted, but they portray a team which is unrecognisable to me. The whole operation has changed drastically from my time, and I know that neither of the two team leaders in my time would have allowed this situation to develop. It appears that the progression from display pilot to team leader to O/C RAFAT may well have been contributory.
Very sad.

A former MP says she has seen no change in the RAF since she looked at the issue 2010, accusing the organisation of putting reputation first.
Madeleine Moon, who was a member of the Defence Select Committee, has been reacting to a Sky News documentary which spoke to victims of predatory behaviour within the Red Arrows. They have slammed the latest inquiry.
Ms Moon says there is a culture of "toxic masculinity" and the armed forces need to bring in external experts to tackle the problem as the "system does not work".
