A total nightmare for both pilots... the shape and the size of the iPad fitted all the parameters to jam the pedals and in addition changed the co-pilot's pedal setting as well, while his seat straps and helmet also impeded access to the pedal mechanism thus foiling removal of the errant iPad.

The lesson, may times observed, is in the last line of that video:
“Hopefully this accident will prompt operators to have a long hard look at all possible loose articles in cockpits and robustly securing valuable tools and sources of situational awareness like (unapproved) EFBs,”
My emphasis. Anyone who puts 'loose objects' into a cockpit runs a risk, as I found in my previously told story of the acrobatic camera in my Lightning when I had to manoeuvre violently at night to avoid an aggressive TU95 and the little camera gracefully left the coaming under negative g and finished up somewhere under my bang seat!
