That should mean a more open fast game next weekend, I hope!

Well, you weren't wrong this time, FD2. What happens in the final?

I’ve got a cunning plan to get to the Final on Saturday, either pay the €950 on the RWC website or €64 for the Bronze game on Friday and hide in toilets
When all else fails, read the instructions.

I hope that World Rugby dismisses the pathetic please sir! name calling claim by Tom Currie and he stops acting like one. If Bongi Mbonambi is banned for the match and the ABs win, they be accused of winning against a reduced team. If the Springboks win without him we'll never hear the end of it. I'd rather see both sides start with full teams and let the best one win on the day.

That’s a 7-1 split in the replacements, full Bomb squad

South Africa hooker Bongi Mbonambi will start Saturday's Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand after a ruling there was "insufficient evidence" he used a racial slur towards Tom Curry.
England flanker Curry said he was abused during the Springboks' 16-15 semi-final victory last Saturday.
Governing body World Rugby said the case is "closed unless additional evidence comes to light".
When all else fails, read the instructions.

I'm delighted that World Rugby made that decision. They actually wanted some evidence- corroboration - that the remark was made. Their decision flies in the face of the modern trend of believing accusers without evidence to back up claims of offence etc. etc. etc. Now we can look forward to the match with full teams, unless one goes down with food poisoning.

Why am I reminded of the football game in the film John Goldfarb, Please Come Home! ?

Settling in to follow England/Argentina, have coffee, Forever Sports live commentary, Guardian update posts and a very choppy live video coverage on Stuff.

Not a lot of love lost between these teams! Too close to call the result at moment.
I see Cheika has read them the Riot Act in the changing room - maybe that will fire them up some more!

Well done the Poomas - nearly got there - some lightning fast open play at times. Pity both sides couldn't play that sort of exciting game.

Re: Rugby World Cup Final
The brief attention I gave to a couple of team interviews yesterday, it seemed to me that the Springboks appear alert, good-humoured, and relaxed; and the All Blacks withdrawn, nervous and not all that comfortable.
Could be the dealing-with-the-media-training they receive...
I've been a Springbok supporter for many years.
Hoping for a happy result today.
Thinking of my cousin in Auckland who no doubt will be settling in in his basement/lair with sustaining refreshments and friends this morning.

Almost no traffic passing on the street this sunny Sunday morning - I wonder what everyone's doing?
