Edinburgh needs another runway.
There's plenty of land for a Rwy 24R to be built along the axis of the Almond.
When I were a lad the were three operational runways, and that was in the days when there were only a couple of dozen scheduled flights a day. Until Covid, they were doing around 1.2 million pax a month. The shopping malls and car parks have been greatly increased in capacity, as have the cargo facilities, but only having one runway is bonkers.

See RAF Aldergrove has closed. Where do the University Air Squadron operate out of now? Found the answer, Leuchars. OK. Had a mate who was the Sqn boss at Aldergrove. Not a bad posting.
