No Santa, No Pledge, No Thanksgiving
BROOKLYN, NY (NEW YORK POST) - Santa Claus is banned. The Pledge of Allegiance is no longer recited. “Harvest festival” has replaced Thanksgiving, and “winter celebrations” substitute for Christmas parties.
New principal Eujin Jaela Kim has given PS 169 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, a politically correct scrub-down, to the dismay of teachers and parents.
“We definitely can’t say Christmas, nothing with Christmas on it, nothing with Santa,” PTA President Mimi Ferrer said administrators told her. “No angels. We can’t even have a star because it can represent a religious system, like the Star of David.”
Kim, 33, did not return a call or e-mail seeking comment.
A memo last month from assistant principal Jose Chaparro suggested a “harvest festival instead of Thanksgiving or a winter celebration instead of a Christmas party.” He urged staff to “be sensitive of the diversity of our families. Not all children celebrate the same holidays.”
Ninety-five percent of the 1,600 kids at PS 169 are Asian or Hispanic.
IMNSHO, the teacher and all like her should be taken out back and summarily executed.

Why don't they just scrub the Christmas break and work over the hols? Why are they having 'parties' anyway? There is nothing to celebrate, after all.

How you put up RGB with sh!t like this in the US I'll never know.
Brooklyn should tell new principal Eujin bloody Jaela Kim to fcuk off back to Korea if he doesn't like American culture and customs.
Don't surrender your cultural sovreignty to foreign fcukheads like Old Blighty has.

It's not just the US that suffers from it.
We know everybody doesn't celebrate the same holidays but that doesn't stop them celebrating theirs.
Do we ban the words Diwali, Ramadan, Pesach (Passover), Yom Kippur, Hanukkah (the Festival of Lights)
just to name a few I see around here ?

500N - it happens anywhere where a free society permits its left wing socialist ratbag arseholes to have effective power.
Oz is going the same way as the UK but fortunately much much slower.

Well, it is Harvest Festival not Thanksgiving in the UK.
What are the school governors doing? The PTA Pres sounds rather wet - where's the no confidence in the principal action? PTA used to be a formidable PITA sometimes.
I thought the Pledge of Allegiance was mandatory? We were made to recite it when on a WA/BC school exchange but that was in the olden days.

You're off to a good start.
Re: No Santa, No Pledge, No Thanksgiving
I may invite said principal to my classroom, we have a Christmas tree, advent calendar and Christmas cards, we even have a nativity set at the main entrance. Nothing like a bit of Christmas cheer to lighten the dark Scottish winter days.
We definitely do not do "winter festival" whatever the heck that is!

Re: No Santa, No Pledge, No Thanksgiving
isn't it intriguing when we see this nauseating crap inflicted upon us we all think of a summary execution out the back.
it isn't that we would ever want a return to the ways of germany during WW2 but FFS!
I personally can understand why Brevick decided to take out the entire summer camp.
I dont agree that he should have done it, but I do understand the intent.
the world is becoming a less governed place.
in australia the new wave of new legislations are so stupid and so often changed that all law is best ignored.
the accursed romans may have had it right. "do unto others only as you would allow them to do unto you".
what else is actually needed in law?
one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced is the Songkram water festival in Thailand.
it occurs right at the end of the dry season. it is the people demonstrating their faith in the buddha.
they use up precious water in the confidence that the buddha will bring a new rainy season.
for 4 days perfect strangers run around thailand with water pistols and buckets of water squirting each other with water.
when I was there the thais took great delight in drenching this farang.
the release of societal tensions is quite observable. at the end of songkram people are actually talking to each other again.
they were even laughing and talking to this farang.
for these politically correct bimbos I prescribe a supersoaker water pistol shot to the cleavage
pump it up to full pressure and give them the entire reservoir.

Disappointing news from North Germany.
The neighbor town has a life-size display featuring Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the Three Kings, right in the middle of the main square, and nobody seems to mind at all.
People there are wandering around lost with nothing to be outraged over.

Friends on a Tokyo posting some years ago were marvelling at the festive store window displays. They did a double take at one: a huge nativity scene with Joseph & Mary, the Magi, shepherds, animals, angels floating overhead and, in the crib, a baby Father Christmas.

During a family holiday we once visited the tomb of Saint Nicholas. Bummer!

Doesn't anyone check whether the story is true before we all get on the outrage bus?

Hey, the huggy fluffy lefties get on the outrage bus all the time, had to see what it was all about
so like them, a concocted story was devised (having learned from the lefties how to do it )
Anyway, if it plants another lefty in the ground, it was worth it !

I thought the Pledge was mandatory as well. But I guess in the current PC/leftie environment anything goes.
As far as the despicable Brooklyn principal is concerned: her days as principal appear to be numbered. As of last night an on-line petition had already garnered 10,000 signatures, mostly from parents of kids in that school, demanding her immediate removal. Nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah. After she loses her job I'd suggest she go back to cooking Kimchi.
