Contempt of Court.
I rather suspect that leave to appeal is conditional, there must be genuine contrition. I think Murray must have stood by his actions and thus demonstrates no contrition.
There maybe other grounds for appeal but Murray might have eschewed these as it makes a point.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
Another glorious day, 21C already and 23C expected. Unfortunately we have to traips into Aberdeen to do battle with Boots Hearingcare over Mrs C16's 'not fit for purpose' Phonak Marvel hearing aids. An ongoing saga for months that will end up with the MD and a request for a Letter of Deadlock if we don't resolve this today, then if necessary followed by Trading Standards and the Courts under Simple Procedure - max £5,000 claim, the Scottish equivalent of the Small Claims Court in England.
The Marvel aids work fine for me but for Mrs C16 they don't work as well as her previous Boots Phonak Venture hearing aids - which still work well for her - and the Marvel ones were supposed to be better. No criticism of the three Boots audiologists who in five appointments have failed to solve what is basically a Phonak software programming problem but the Boots Hearingcare Customer (Dis)Service department in Llandudno is a joke when it comes to anything other than arranging hearing appointments.

I had the same problem.
I reduced my Un-read list to that single item and then clicked on 'Mark All as Read'.
It worked for me.

Afternoon folks. Nice day 33°C clear skies, light wind. Very grumpy staff due to penalties imposed for fuel liberation.
Been up since 05.00 producing hooch. By 11.30 we had 13 ltrs fermenting and 4.5 ltrs pasteurised. Just been informed of a new spirits supply. One of the chopper pilots actually, but he drove the pop in from S.A. didn't fly it in. Big police raid in our village this week took loads of booze. So that will be a police party. They raided the safari camp and found guests drinking alcohol free beer We had just left but our hooch is in ginger beer bottles and the same colour.
Rare visitors to our place in the last two days have been a pair of White-browed Scrub Robins (below). We have recently had a pair of Meyer's parrots, today we have 5!
Reverend, you need to keep your smart phone at hand to get your own back.

As ever. Huge thunderstorm complex came our way along the Pyrenees but diverted southeast over GRN and out to sea. Sky is black down there. Will it ever rain here?

Thunderstorms over GRN - there goes another sleepless night of nightmares. Thanks a bunch..............

Thunderstorms over GRN
Good title for your autobiography Boac.
"The night was sultry and my first officer was a pallid youth from Croydon whose pale gormless features were intermittently lit up by the bolts of lightning arcing between the canyons of towering cumulo nimbus ahead of us. The air was rent by a sickly white green light that emanated from the maelstrom of vapour, whose anvils overshot us by some 30,000 feet, huge towers that rose high into the stratosphere! Looking at the situation that was unfolding, I felt, not for the first time, that I would rather be in my bed in Blighty, sipping my cocoa and jesting with the sundry lunatics that nightly posted from the safety of their keyboards on an aviation forum called Ops-Normal... etc. etc. "

Morning all. Awake before six so got up to watch a very good -3.3 pass of the ISS. Wonder if it will outlive me with the USA keen to cut funding and the Russians offering to deorbit it?

What's this "safety of their keyboards" bit? I post from the safety of my phone, whilst alongside me the 'machine that goes ping' goes "PING".

Beautiful shot and perfect for the cover of Boac's new autobiography, even though he is not aware he is writing it yet!

I admit to reject instantly the book that starts:
The blade of grass, along with several others was bent, half its length was bent towards the setting Sun. He sniffed the air. On the soft tropical breeze the faint scent of burnt tobacco......
However I also admit that TGG's literary prose was more entertaining and slightly more eloquent than The weather was dog ***** and the first officer was scared shi....
