You did well! :YMAPPLAUSE:

Ongoing good wishes and thoughts for Ibbie.

Good morning, all. Everything seems to be still standing after the strong smell of smoke in the wee sma's. Didn't hear any fire-sirens either, can't have been important.

13.5°C now, expecting 20°C; some high cloud, gentle nor'west breeze will increase to strong through the day, then subside.

10/15 in this morning's quiz, started well, went to pieces mid-way, then rallied: https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/quizze ... er-12-2023

Good morning all. 9/15 today. Sunny day with a couple of puffs of cloud. Currently 20C, forecast max 33C. About to give the garden a good watering and fill up the bird baths.
Had a long chat with D1 yesterday after she'd flown Boulder - Greely - Kimball & return in perfect weather. She'd booked a C182 but it went u/s, so she had a brand new C172.

Morning folks. Hot and a bit cloudy. Have been through two days of CCTV coverage to see if I could spot the bastards who made off with our genny battery. No joy. we don't know how they did it.

We've had Mrs C16's brother and wife staying for three days so I'm only just catching up here. Best wishes to Ibbie for a complete recovery and new knee.

Walk to our local lake this morning. After a year's drought it's almost gone. Catalunia's water reserves are down to 11%. Water will be limited soon.

Good morning, 15°C at the moment due to the ongoing nor'wester; expecting 22°C, mostly sunny, and moderate to fresh NW through the day.

Two bees, or probably waspspsps, came indoors yesterday through open windows and had to be asked to leave. Bumble bees at least have the intelligence to find their own way back outside.

Part of what kept me awake the other night was being Completely Unsettled at bedtime by finding a very large white-tailed sp*der; when I say large, he was sitting on the lino which is patterned in rectangles, and extended more than half-way across a 5.5cm square... So big, I jumped with fright when I saw him. Or probably, her, actually.
I did not post about this at the time because there is often somebody who responds by posting a photo of some arachnid or other and I had had enough at that point. :))

11/15 in this morning's quiz. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/quizze ... er-13-2023

Evening All,

reached 27c today unseasonally warm for November, not a dome either high haze and dissipating chemtrails.

Torrox has just started night water shut-offs that is the potable supply in the town. We are non-potable agricultural water so not affected.

Took quite a while to complete both as there appeared to be interweb issues between here and Aotearoa.

27°C now and I have just brought the electric fan out to the living room, where it will stay until March.
If it get really hot through the summer I'll use the heat-pump set to 'cool'.
