Dined with the tribe at the Indian in Woolgoolga. As the town has a large Sikh population, the meal, as expected, was excellent. We shared a variety of appetisers and mains, including goat, beef, chicken and vegetarian. I really like their goat jahori, and added a little of the mint chutney from one of the entrees. We then walked around the block for gelatos & sorbets.

Why are you on a rabbit food diet, EA01?

My turn to cook dinner tonight, but we agreed that a hot meal was out, so bought some crumbed flathead fillets from our local fisho, and had them cold with salad. From anywhere else we would buy the fish and cook it ourselves, but this place really knows how to cook fish properly.

Lunch yesterday at a restaurant: beautifully thinly sliced lambs' liver in gravy with bacon, onions and mushrooms, and mashed potato, $21.00, more than I could finish so was able to take a container home for later.

Then (after draining the lime juice) mixed with finely chopped onion tomato cucumber & capsicum....then coconut cream & milk mixed in.......heaven!....(if you are ok with raw fish)

Lunch at Coffee Culture, Merivale, Christchurch:

An Americano with cream, and a small hot chocolate, $11.20. The former served with what I guess were chocolate-covered coffee-beans, the latter served with a couple of marshmallows.
A miniature Spinach & Feta loaf, sliced vertically lengthwise and served with butter and a knife and fork, $6.80.

Hospital food. It's usually pretty good here, but in the ICU it's pretty basic Breakfast was 2 weetbix, fruit & juice. Dietician came today so I'll probably get yoghurt, fruit & muesli for breakfast, plus a menu for the following day to pick from. Lunch was soup, salmon & veges, Dinner was soup, a sandwich and rice pudding. I also get a packet of fruit & nuts + sustagen. I'm now out of ICU.

They are trying to fatten me up. Breakfast was stewed fruit with yoghurt which I'd ordered, plus a large fresh fruit salad & muesli which I hadn't. Poached egg & tomato, toast & marmalade and apple juice, all of which I'd ordered. Instant coffee.
