Margaritaville!
If I could have the money generated by one song it would be this one.
Not just the royalties, but the restaurant chain, branded tequila, margarita machines, and a musical stage production (and I might be missing some other(s)).
I'm sure that Jimmy wouldn't miss that amount very much in the grand scheme of things.

The song always reminds me of a Florida road trip followed by the hire of an aircraft at Clearwater Beach for a bimble down to Key West, via Key Largo, in a Cessna 172 having been checked out in the "pattern" at the St Petersburg International, because no circuits were to be flown at Clearwater Municipal. Memorable for the rapid fire patter from the lady controller at St Pete's with a strong southern accent on ATC frequency, and the huge amount of traffic, both air and radio, coming in from Tampa International, and McDil Air Force Base, along with the strong warm sea breeze that was gusting X-wind from Tampa Bay. The flight down to Key West was sheer laid back pleasure, in comparison to the busy check ride, and could only have been bettered if it had been in Mr Buffet's own aircraft at that time.

I haven't read it PHX, I am apt to buy it immediately, and face the incoming flack from better half, who abhors my bibliophile ways, with a male whimper! :-bd

Some really nice imagery in the Yanni video.

A good friend who had basically lost his mind after leaving the army back in the 80's spent 6 months down south to re-acquaint himself with a sane noodle. He loved it so much that he want back twice more, the last time as a BAS commander.

I really like William Basinski's stuff.

Van the Man at his masterful (remastered) best. I can really tune into that song which I haven't heard since about 1979. Thanks for posting Karearea.

On his day he is sublime. I last saw him play at the O2 arena and his music was wonderful but he clearly hates his audience, he being as surly and as obdurate as possible.
