Love and peace to all you lot.
Not long home after celebrating the Holy Mysteries and listening to a select number of whinges from people who only come on Christmas Eve.
I think I'll get a card to hand out next Christmas saying something like "I'd be happy to discuss this on an ordinary Sunday after church." That'd shuttemup.

All the best Alison

Wishing all a wonderful day-however you choose to celebrate. We will be dining at our favourite Italian restaurant. Went on the trolley tour last night which is always fun. Came home and demolished a bottle of prosecco. :YMPARTY: Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year :YMHUG:

Smoked salmon and marie rose prawns were had at 1PM with a glass of Alvarinho. King's speech was watched, a tad dull, worthy and churchy for my taste. At 1700 Roast T, roast spuds, carrots and parsnips along with the Super Gravy I made a month ago. Washed down with a red from Puglia called Pilastro. Waiting now for my Christmas pud (only me) and then some trifle.
It has all worked out very well due to outstanding help from my daughter and occasional barracking from my grandaughter who wanted to try her Sphygnatometer(sp?)on me at the most innapropriate moments. Whoever takes her on will have his work cut out. Clever, focussed, argumentative and sharp as a tack (or maybe a whole box of them). Did I mention that I love her to bits?

Likewise here, although wasn't pissing down it still rained a bit. Emptied 3mm out of the rain guage here in Waikerie this morning, but further east in the Riverland copped more.

And had the heater on last night as well.

Had to drive a Japanese Glider Pilot to Adelaide Airport (YPAD) yesterday morning and drove through a great many rainshowers.

Half yer luck with the prawns, M'Lady. I forgot to get some this year!! :((
Hope you had a good day. :-bd

I went to a fish supplier I trust and had a choice of several strengths of smokeyness. Very nice it was .
Wonderful daughter and family having left this AM at 1000, arrived back here at 1800 having been unable to progress any further south than 60 miles from here; flooding, blown down trees, broken down HGV and a jack-knifed artic (semi) and being directed by the duty policeman "Go back north". Try again tomorrow at 0600.
Their destination, Bristol, is gridlocked in every direction with traffic backed up on every motorway, Wales is cut off as both main bridges are closed (who wants to go to Wales anyway?).
An emergency replan to feed them produced a chicken thigh tray bake with potatoes, mushrooms, red onion and tomatoes splashed with white wine and very tasty it was. All done in an hour. Flexibility is the key to airpower and rethought menues. Hurrah
