My car eventually obliged and reported an inlet manifold leak, so I fitted a new gasket. It also helped when one of the ignition coils failed. Cylinder 1 was misfiring. I wasn't sure which end was 1, so I swapped between the two ends and isolated the cause. New coil pack and everything fine again.

If I have to scrap this one, my son has to go buy his own car. I've warned him to start looking in case, because he might need it in the next five weeks.

MORNING. it's 13C, BLUE SKY WITH SOME WHISPY WHITE CLOUD AND CHEMTRAILS. 24c this afternoon....possibly.

Am puzzled as to how farting sparrows qualify to be members of Unison.

Morning all. Good nights sleep but as soon as vertical, back painful (mentioned elsewhere). Cloudy/sunny out, 11°, trees lashing about in gale, squirrels and wood pigeons using safety harnesses.

Morning folks. Nice day. 20C at dawn. Mammoth watering. Waiting for the electricians again. They have got 12 days to fix these problems before our guest arrives. Folk do not understand living in the middle of the bush compared to civilisation. However I think that this lady will be cool. The lengths that the luxury camps go to pretend that folk are in an airport hotel are amazing. The Americans particularly just can't grasp it. Staff ratio is about 3 to one guest. As we generally do not leave the lodge we see what goes on behind the scenes. As soon as guests go out on game drives the place is buzzing. They run generators, pump water, service the pools etc. Just before the guests get back it is all calm again. They know that we do not mind the chaos and keep bringing us cold beers. :YMPARTY:

Morning each. Total cloud cover and raining, +6C. Off to Stracathro Hospital near Brechin at 1000 for a chest X-ray. Joiner and plumber are here to fit wet walls, shower and toilet etc to the ensuite shower room renovation.

Took car in for service this morning. Advised service guy of couple of minor problems...it seems that the two problems may not covered by warranty...surprise surprise!!.
Had a call from No1 daughter yesterday, could we call in as grandchildren wanted to see you. Mrs M rushed around tidying, vacuuming, dusting, straightening cushions before they arrived...within 5 minutes of arrival cushions on the floor, toys everywhere, orange juice spilt on the lounge carpet, and their dog had crapped on the lawn. It was going to be peaceful Sunday with the rugby!!

Appointment at 1040. Seen on the dot at 1040. On my way home at 1050. Great little NHS hospital in the sticks near Brechin, so much better than having to go to the huge Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Good one C16. I phoned the doctor's secretary this morning to ask what time she told me for tomorrow last Wednesday. She said that I was not in the diary. She then said 14.30. I said no way that late in the day. She said no availability in the morning but can you make it 09.30 :-o One is presuming she means morning.

Ladies neck deep in croc infested water in front of us harvesting lily rhizomes. Crazy, Not sure how much they sell them for but is it worth your life? It is a 'it will never happen to me' attitude. We have had two croc kills on our lagoon in the last 6 months.

Appointment to get my back massaged at sports physio clinic at 16:00. Excellent service. There's a Chinese/Thai massage place even nearer but not sure if it's the sort of massage I need. Also the receptionist was not alluring.

Hope you fare better with the machine than I did.
Never woke up with mask on. Always took it off in my sleep. Never knew how long I lasted with it.
Had uvuloplasty surgery in short order. The surgery was the plan all along but the insurance would not cover the procedure until the use of the machine was attempted.
Good luck.

Much fun at Perry Oaks International today. The first Emirates A380 diverted to BHX, the BA flight from SFO had three attempts, but the last two Airbus beasts seem to have landed OK. Maybe the wind has dropped - or steadied a little.

Plan A at me canal today was to paint the hull of our workboat which is sitting on the slipway.

Due to the wind blowing a hooley and il pleut comme les vache qui pisse, Plan B was implemented which involved drinking lots of tea and consuming Mary's chocolate flapjacks and rock buns. :-bd

Hour's massage, £50. Said my entire back felt like the floor (hard, not dirty). Enjoyable after the first few minutes....

Disaster. New washer/dryer delivered, unpacked, 2mm too wide to fit into unit. Also top hits bracket holding countertop that nobody noticed. Removing wm/d top fixes that, but width is problem.
