Never go to the gym the day before travelling. Bent over while changing, violent pain from back muscles. Volteran and paracetamol and massage from my wife who knows where every muscle attaches. Slightly better. Will enter the Scarebus 321 tomorrow strapped up and medicated. Probably like the crew.

Best wishes, Señor Ascot.

Brilliant moonlight last night, had to read a trashy novel before I could fall asleep. i-)
Likewise here. Read until Kindle battery went flat. Didn't get to sleep until about 0200.
I feel a new thread coming: What Trashy Novel Are You Reading?
Book reviews please.

Morning folks. Nice day but one is not awfully well. ...
Wishing you well, Ex-A.
Thank you Mam and Ibbie. I have my resident nursie but it is a case of getting the medication for the ticker correct. I find it very frustrating. Used to run around the mountains of Amorgos now can't even walk around the estate here.
All terrain wheelchair perhaps? :-?
Good for both Bots and Amorgos.

+1

Keep your pecker up Sir. To both you and Mrs Ex-A, from both here in a decidedly gloomy part of the Eastern part of the UK.

Morning folks. Nice day but one is not awfully well. Quack tomorrow booked. Had chaps around this morning doing a few odd jobs. I can't walk far enough to check on them but Mrs Ex-Ascot says all good.
Get well soon sah! If an all-terrain wheelchair isn't quite the thing for negotiating sandy bits, perhaps a sedan chair (with on-board refreshment facilities) might be useful.

Hope you're feeling a bit better, Ex-A.
Clear skies here, currently 22C, forecast 31C, a little cooler than the last two days. Shopping expedition to IKEA planned, to buy stuff requested by Granddaughter.

Mrs H has had the same issue with her heart & blood pressure medication. Cardio man says that it can take a while for the body to adjust to new & changed medication. Lots of tweaking going on,, but things seem to have more or less stabilsed now.

Parents are rushing to defend a Toronto teacher accused of racism for locking a black kid in the broom cupboard.

Apparently he locks kids of all races in the broom cupboard.

Morning folks and thanks everyone. Seeing the new quack that I have been referred to in a few hours. 'erbert seems to be massacring the garden. Haven't got the energy to see what he is doing. Told him he has two weeks to get it immaculate before a friend arrives to stay. There will be nothing left.

Edit, went to see what he is doing. We have a bird bath in the middle of a rather overgrown bed and he is making it more visible. Maybe the birds like privacy when bathing.

^ good luck from acrorst the miles, Ex-A.

Car was due a Warrant of Fitness check and on the way to the service dept. I put the car through the car-wash.
Car failed Warrant due to "stone chips" on the windscreen - which are miniscule, but rules are rules, fair enough.
Except I'd never noticed them, they're very low down on the glass, they must have been there for years,
and I will always wonder, had I not had the car washed, would they have been that visible?

Next job, have windscreen replaced (all covered by insurance).

Meanwhile it is still snowing further eastwards. Watched a kite flying IMC in the heavier snow earlier, the raptor clearly able to see its prey clearly on the white carpet on the ground.

The belated snow has made the the spring lambs skittish!
