...... Are sly, devious, odious, odorous, workshy, pompous, arrogant, backstabbing, buckpassing, mean, treacherous, bungling, pretentious, and obnoxious.
Their food, wine, fashion, women, cars, trains, planes and literature are vastly overrated.
I could also tell you about their bad qualities if you had time to listen.
I am sure there are some nice ones too.
By the way I believe they don't speak very highly of me either.

Cape, you didn't cover a half of it. The b@stards come in their droves to Amorgos. I was actually taken to court in Naxos and done for calling one a f..cking tourist. Suspended bloody prison sentence. Actually it is the Parisians who are the worst. Can't stand them. I absolutely cringe when I hear the accent.

Right, now let's have a go at the Greeks. Only joking RIS. Great people. Not many people get hugged and kissed by their taxi driver when they arrive at an airport. OK he is a friend but it certainly threw our financial consultant.

Oh Dear.

I despair.

Brits, Nederalndais, Hispanics misbehave when abroad

Why a rant against the french?

OK, go ahead, becaususe I happen to espuose that natioinity, but I am used to it, and really, all francophobes leave me quite indifferent.

Are any of them able to be proud of the exemplar of citizens of states/ nations with no underlurking problems?

Capes, I must protest in the strongest terms about your xenophobic post, obviously made whilst you were tied and emotional.

There is nothing wrong with their trains.

Yes there is a lot wrong with our trains. There is a lot wrong with the rest of the country.

And capes gives vent:

There is nothing wrong with their trains.

Oh no ? I will repèat what I have posted elsewhere.

Last month I ordered tickets London - Paris - Perpignan for end of December this year, total cost €502. I have booking confirmation and bank statement showing transaction made including payment.

Tickets failed to arrive. Contacted SNCF to ask for replacements. Sneering man said "Absolutement impossible ! The procedure is to buy new tickets for the same journey and claim a refund for the tickets which did not arrive." Not believing this b*faeces I travelled to the nearest French railway station where the young women in the ticket office said the same thing, accompanied with gallic shrugs of helplessness indicating an impossibility of rectifying the situation, and much repeating of "alors, c'est difficile, mais..."

E-mailed Eurostar at St Pancras, London. "No problem sir, bring in proof of purchase the day before you travel and we will reissue all the tickets including the SNCF segment."

Personally I think action should be taken against posters here who are obviously so fawningly pro-French (yes, Cape, you). Do try not to restrain your language in future.

Oh dear Ex-A, what was the charge - being a Public Nuisance? =))

On my first visit to an apartment in Corfu I was greeted at the airport by a rather nice taxi driver. ;) He gave me a big hug and kiss, bidding me welcome. 'I am the cousin of Michalis.' That's alright then as Michalis was the apartment owner. :D

They're not as bland and boring as the Walloons, nor quite as ugly.

How many French were on the beach or front line on D-Day. Apart from some very courageous resistance people they are a bunch of cowards. Bad luck about that terrorist attack. What are they going to do about that then. Probably Ostrich Syndrome.

Ex Ascot

I think the French have moved on a bit since WW11 and Vietnam.

They seem to be keener than the British to take the fight to the Terrorists / AQ / ISIS Groups
without the huggy fluffy side that some other Western Gov'ts seem to suffer from.

Probably Ostrich Syndrome.

Indeed. As I've said elsewhere, for two weeks after the attack every vehicle entering France from Spain was scrutinised. Now there's not a hint of a 'control' on the border. Jihadistas, you're welcome.

When are we going to have a go at the Lithuanians?

I'd love to have a go at the Lithuanian girl who served my lunch yesterday in a riverside pub. Everything in perfect proportion, legs to heaven, sweet smile, blonde, blue eyes, perfect teeth, graceful, and charming.
I'd have a go at her given half a chance.

Cape, I've always got on reasonably well with the ffilthy ffrogs, but that may be a hangover from the Auld Alliance when they hear the Scottish accent in my execrable attempts at speaking in French.
