Re: SCAMMERS !
I'm losing the will to live. I just had a "Have you had an accident" call and couldn't be bothered to bait the young lady making the call. Just hung up and blocked her. Not like me at all, but all good things come to an end....

Remember to whom you are speaking, boy. I have called my bank to ask them to transfer money to BELLOW BANK and they have never heard of it.
Get yourself and your other **** sorted out. And keep a civil tongue in your stupid fuzzy head.

Ah, but the telephone number then gets re-used; some other mug gets the benefit. Ask me how I know!Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 5:16 pmNo, there was a cessation of service as they did not move in for 3 months.G-CPTN wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 3:03 pmWhereas the people who took over your phone line are enjoying your loss.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 1:25 pm4ma, as it happens I haven't had any in two years since we moved.
Actually, I have great pleasure when I get calls from non-personal-callbook numbers. Phone intercepts and invites them to give their name and business. Nearly all of them hang up. Know this because the little green light blinks while the process is happening. four or five times most weeks. One of my better buys

I am surprised you have such pics and you remember your password from 10 years ago...Magnus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 10:21 amGot an interesting one the other day. Demanded $2000 in bitcoin, or he'd send everyone clips of me masturbating. For veracity, he told me my password. Oddly, it was a password I had used over a decade ago in my Windoze days at work, so he's obviously managed to hack into something....
Might be the same lot as Pontius'.

Hydromet, didn't you know Netflix had an office in Russia?
Seriously, what email add are you using, I like the drop down.

I remember the password as it formed the root (pardon the pun) of many passwords.
Re: SCAMMERS !
That's the standard Apple Mail. In recent versions you see the full content without opening the email. It sent that email direct to the junk folder, but I looked at it out of idle curiosity.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 7:03 amHydromet, didn't you know Netflix had an office in Russia?

Re: SCAMMERS !
Interesting, because I did a search and found a number that corresponds with that address. I got a 'friend' who works for the South African Police Commercial Fraud Department to call the number and the lady who answered was very civil but somewhat guarded in her responses. I, I mean my friend, suggested that if she is not involved with the crime, she contacts her local police authority and bank to protect herself against fraudsters.
Either she is involved, in which case this should put the wind up the bitch, or she isn't in which case she is an innocent victim of identity theft and hopefully will take action to protect herself.

Ditto here. How does it work ? How do I do that ? No use asking me, not allowed to touch it ( and her a onetime programmer in the days when a 1 Kb capacity IBM filled a whole room ! ) Why do Apple make everything so "difficult" ?Thanks, wife has Apple, I don't.

Re: SCAMMERS !
If you move the cursor next to the senders name a down arrow appears. Click on that and the drop-down appears. I thought Windows had a similar thing.

Re: SCAMMERS !
Hydro, Apple has an email app. Windows has many.
Re: SCAMMERS !
A rather non-intuitive action. The down arrow could very well be visible at all times. Not many are likely to run the cursor all over the page just to see what happens.
Re: SCAMMERS !
What's difficult about it? I can't remember how I found it, but I've a feeling that I remember it from whatever Windows mail app I was using 15 years ago.ExSp33db1rd wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 2:45 amDitto here.
