Recognise a few names here.. Hung my nav bag up in 1998 - went to work at Malvern for the final 8 years and found it probably the most rewarding* experience of my working life.
* Not talking about £££s.
Finally retired in 2006 and we moved to SW France in 2007 (& happy comme un cochon dans la merde!). I voted Leave. I read the Guardian (but not a Leftie!) - but then I read all the others too.
I sing in a choir and am active in an association that commemorates a WWII network that repatriated shot-down Allied airmen. Met some truly great people connected with that.
I took up rowing again here - first on the Adour - and then on the Nive with another club - but I reluctantly had to give it up about 3 years ago when I could no longer get out of the boat unaided.. I loved that second club - they were like family..
I used to be into classic bikes too - this was my last one.. (sold it prior to coming here - & regret that on a daily basis!)
Looking forward to scanning the boards here!
Regards
SV
