Fatzdaddio
Hi to all Members,
Being an old man with some previous aviation moments , I've joined in order to remind myself of the variety of life caused by that occupation.
I was in ....RAF ( til the Varsity ! ) Gulf Air ( F27 ) Emirates Air Service (Twin Otter ) Jersey European ..Metropolitan ..Schreiner ( in Angola ) .. B.I.A. ( '1st jet' 1-11 ) .. Air Europe (F.100) ..Bangkok Airways ..British Air Ferries - British World ..World Airways .. British Mediterranean (A320 ) ..Air World - Flying Colours - JMC --Thomas Cook (B757 with TC )
My last flight was July 2010.
It will be fun for me to read any recollections of any of those aircraft types and companies !

Welcome Fatz, I was a LAME with BIA/Air UK 1979 to 1984 and with Jersey European 1989 to 1997, so our paths may have crossed, also had many friends at BAF/Jade Point/British World.

How did you know that I was a diver in the Gulf ..and on the American drill ship that discovered a Dubai offshore oil field ? That was before I became a pilot !

Welcome on board Fatz. BAF and British World. Viscounts? If so you may well have shuttled me ABZ-LSI and back at some point.

My dear chap, welcome aboard. There are some pretty sane aviation folks on here you can communicate with but one doesn't come under that bracket.

Re: Fatzdaddio
Is one's sanity adversely affected by years of travelling in aluminium tubing breathing oil-contaminated air frequent crossing of time zones eating sh1t food trying to sleep in strange beds whilst the crew-disturbance unit (aka housekeeping) make as much decibels as they can whilst you try and get your allocated rest?
Be careful FatzD, there are some folks here who deserve my posting name but not through their fault!
Look forwards to your comments on the many threads here.
