A friend of mine is attacking an open university course and is in need to find a good program (free) to run in a Windows computer to create graphs but also able to show the lines from a specif points of the graph to the X and Y axes.
I hope it is clear and any help to him will be greatly appreciated since he has quite a lot of catch up to do.

He also suggested the following program: since I don't have a use for such a program I can't really comment it but my friend seems fairly enthusiastic about.The program is geogebra.
