Used to fly in/out of Truckee frequently many years ago. I would take students up there for moutain training in helicopters. Very unforgiving airspace for an airplane in bad weather.

Dr. Mark Rosekind, (Google is your friend), formely of NASA and the NTSB is the gure for fatigue and sleep management. I heard initially he drooped anchor, and I believe they are at the front, so that combined with strong currents...... I can see that hapening.
