Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Ginge has awarded a lady with 'Soldier of the year' USA. Why a Brit and why wasn't he wearing his coronation medal? The latter a huge insult to HMK.

Morning folks. Sunny. The thatchers are here. Chaos for at least three weeks. Last time they did it inside the house was a big mess. They are putting up plastic this time to catch most of it. We will see.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V

Morning folks. Sunny and windy. Booked tickets for JNB-DBX-ATH and return this morning. Hate doing these things on line. Always worried I will press the wrong button and end up in Antarctica. Managed to get my favorite seat just behind the very best seat on all flights but Mrs Ex-Ascot is not always...

Morning folks. Broken cloud but warm. We are worried about our pod of hippos. Apart from two who wandered past the other day they are nowhere to be seen. Just seen this article: https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20240426-herds-of-endangered-hippos-trapped-in-mud-in-drought-hit-botswana They are ...

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V

Morning folks. Sunny, 30s expected. Awaiting CCTV technician. Only U/S for 2 months now. He wouldn't come until I proved that I had paid for the new power unit. I find it very insulting. First lorry load of grass for the thatching arrived yesterday. Four more to come. it is going to take up to a mon...

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V

Morning folks. Sunny will get into the 30s. Sounds like a Church service going on on the boat. House keeper playing gospel music. A very expensive week. Thatch to be bought which is considerably more than first thought. Accountants paid their astronomical fee for just pushing a few buttons. Safari c...

Do they have some determined flight ... dunno, paths or something that they have to fly, threfore don't notice if someone has diverted or has problems? They were rehearsing for a parade. Anyone for a jar of jam with the label peeling off and no indication of the contents. Apparently delivered to 50 select people in a basket of lemons with dead flowers. Seems to be strawberry, so why the lemons and dead flowers?

A friend's daughter has just taken her written test in Zimbabwe. There are two scales of charges. X to take the test. Y if you want a guaranteed pass. She went for Y but would have passed anyway. :-o
