Alternative:slow train all the way. Well, possibly, but Airport, which has its own train station, doesn't show up on internet time table. And isn't at the international terminal anyway, so involves a shuttle bus. And you can't buy through tickets.

Aaaargh. Usual problem getting from Figueras to the Airport. In Spain you must buy high speed train tickets in advance (internet) but all other tickets on the day of travel and at the station (not internet). So Figueras - Airport involves dismounting at Barcelona Sants station, finding a ticket mach...

I'm rebelling against the EU's loathsome bottle cap tethers. I cut the tether when I open a bottle, and when empty recycle the cap in a different bin. That'll learn 'em.

So windy I had to get up before dawn and close the bedroom window. Sunny day forecast after rain yesterday and before rain tomorrow. Local reservoir at 21% so we need it. At least the French tourists in the summer have little impact on water use.

Roaming costs a fortune since Brexit. Buy local monthly Greek cards when you get there. Or if not enough time in Athens, have a friend (who might that be !) get them for you in advance.
I have a low usage card I bought on Amazon. Costs €1 a month. Fits in a TP battery router.

Morning all. Up and down in the night, then slept to seven thirty. Hazy sky here. Trip to Chinese medical today to sort out digestion. An "alternative" practitioner whom I've used before and is very good. Actually Brazilian but used to live in China.

Amazing isn't it. Five days after a death and injuries turbulence accident, people still not buckling up. Or am I expecting too much of the human race ? (Answer not needed).

A friend has just returned from holiday in Cyprus to UK. While there something stung her, putting her in hospital for several days. Feeling ill this morning. Looking at mosquitos+Cyprus on the 'net, some nasty viruses there. Any comments from you world travellers out there as to her next action ?
