Re: Passengers Behaving Badly

As they had 'restrained' the streaker, why did they return to departure airport?

Does Australia only have 'facilities' at certain bases and not at 'outposts'?

Someone asked what happened to the 'fluff' feathers - the latest pictures show the flight feathers 'grow through' the fluff.

I wonder what prevents the chicks from 'taking off' before the flight feathers are ready?

Re: Spitfire Crash

Isn't the Spitfire a 'basic' aircraft with relatively little to go wrong that would prejudice the flyability of the aircraft?

Re: Peregrine falcons at Worcester Cathedral

Currently only two seen = one almost ready to fledge and feeding itself and the other 'younger' in appearance.

Three now - one still 'fluffy'.

Charles is afraid that 'the public' will interpret the action as persecution and a 'badge of honour'.

Him and her will certainly consider themselves persecuted.

I travelled to New Zealand to see Comet Halley.

It was fainter than I expected - I anticipated a firework in the sky.

Re: Chaos in France

I used to muse about two old fishermen sitting comparing words in Danish and English.

Whilst there are similarities, there are, also, differences.
The English worn 'sky' refers to the blue bit, whereas in Danish it refers to 'cloud' or shade.

That was a consideration with me when I moved and changed provider at the same time, however, I managed to spoof the system (thanks to my son working for BT at the time). My telephone number dat...

Re: Chaos in France

Whilst living in Denmark, a suggestion was made by a colleague that we should 'share a beer' (it had been a dedicated session), to which the response was "Jeg had aldrigt taenkt at man kun del en Øl" which was a play on grammar - as there is a distinction between "en Øl" and "et Øl" with one referri...
