I travelled to New Zealand to see Comet Halley.

It was fainter than I expected - I anticipated a firework in the sky.

Ya, I hoped for a repeat of something like Comet Ikeya–Seki

but even so was a thrill to see Halley.

A stunning CAVOK day here. Later today I drive to Perth to meet up with former Ops-Normal member OneHungLow who as I speak is passing west abeam York in his trusty PA-28. Dinner in Perth is scheduled for tonight - a non-alcoholic one for me as I will drive home afterwards.
