Little did they know that the bull was dangerous because it kept knocking over the 'Bridge Out' sign.

Re: Spitfire Crash
One report says the engine failed shortly after take off, presumably on a RWY 07 right hand turning climbout from the road closures. Very little time to do much. It's mostly flat fields, but they are all pretty short, with a village, assorted trees, single houses and ponds between them. The photo of...

Current human rights laws give the government no possible means of dealing with non-co-operation.
It would simply be providing free food and accommodation.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread VI
It's not just Brexit. Pretty much every company that did mail order in Canada or USA would ship to the other. Now that's no longer true, either way. There was an expanding business in small towns on either side of the border doing accommodation addresses and parcel holding, but in the last 9 months ...

I used to joke that my main skill is shooting down Russian aircraft, which isn't much use any more.

Same in Canada.
What happened to make rail the most expensive form of passenger transport?
It's cheaper to drive across Canada and pay the stupidly high accommodation and fuel prices than take the train these days.
It's happened in the last 10 years.

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
The Russian ruble appreciated past the 90.5 per USD mark in May, its strongest in over three months, amid continued support from capital controls, foreign currency sales under the budget program, and a hawkish Bank of Russia. Moscow is set to sell RUB 6.3 billion worth of foreign exchange per day i...

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
I think the success of ATACMS will be worrying putin mightily, especially against S400. Unlike the delays with other systems, I think the US Army had good grounds for delaying ATACMS transfer, as they had very limited stocks and needed to get the latest ATACMS missiles made in sufficient numbers to ...

Suchominus has more on the Tsiklon maybe going down in Sevastopol harbour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdxGk2u2vMQ I agree with him that it's on the bottom. The clearout in the Russian MoD is just a ...

They normally make the wheelchair people deplane last, for perfectly sensible reasons. This could be people exploiting the system, but as I said; if the onward connection is tight, and a short distance, then even genuine mobility-problem people may be OK without the wheelchair when deplaning. The ai...

The Frontier CEO needs to get his head out of his backside. From people I know who occasionally request wheelchair service (e.g. my mum). 1. They may only need it at one airport due to long transits between gates, or short times between connections. 2. They may not want it at another airport because...

You seem to be assuming that corporate legal would have done something different. And your evidence for there actually being decent, honest lawyers is.....? Indeed, perhaps the reason the airline uses insurance lawyers and corporate legal doesn't do oversight is precisely so they have deniability fo...

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
Find me an article these days that doesn't blame 'climate change' for something major. Although they aren't doing their argument for Anthropogenic Climate Change any good. In any case, the pre-modern 'changes' to climate were just normal climate variation , not a thousand year change. And what cause...
